Route Mobile Limited, a leading messaging & voice API company, ranked No 6 among global messaging providers by telcos (ROCCO research), today announced that it has acquired Mumbai headquartered Cellent Technologies.

This is in line with Route Mobile’s strategy of pursuing inorganic growth to reach a wider set of enterprise customers as well as broaden its portfolio of products and services.Globally, too, the A2P (application-to-peer) messaging market is seeing consolidation with Sweden’s CLX Technologies acquiring Mblox and Vonage buying Nexmo.

Cellent Technologies, part of the Goel Group, has a presence in the A2P messaging markets of the Middle East and Africa. More than 250 customers and a team of over 30 people are now part of Route Mobile’s family as part this acquisition.
